Great little place, ordered the biscuits and gravy with 2 over easy eggs and coffee came out to just under 12 dollars. The prices are right and the people are better. Not much for seating, but if you don't mind bumping elbows with the locals this it's the spot to go.

Outstanding breakfast. Best corned beef hash in town. We've been coming here for a number of months on Saturdays for breakfast. The food is consistently excellent and the service is great.

I like to get out of the city and try new restaurants especially for breakfast because I have been to most of the early 6-7 am places so new places are getting very hard to find.
This place is super small on two levels with the lower having the old school lunch counter with the low round stools while the upper had 5 small square tables. The grill area is a couple feet from the counter so all the action is right there. The staff was very friendly and the customers were all regulars who knew each other. The breakfast menu is small with basic breakfast options so I opted for the daily special, corn beef hash with two eggs and toast.
The eggs were perfect sunny side up and the toast was my favorite, sourdough. The corn beef hash was basic with shredded hash browns and big chunks of moist corn beef, it was so basic it was perfect. I have never had such big chunks of corn beef in hash before, no skimping on the meat here.
Overall this was a great American breakfast spot that puts out a great quality breakfast, no can crap here. I would recommend getting here early because the whole place filled by 7:30 and people were waiting for tables so I can see why it's popular. -

The hidden gem of Lake Country, no, I'll go and say it, the hidden gem of the entire Milwaukee Metro area. Small, friendly, and oh so tasty.
I was headed to Madison for the weekend, and I was starving. Opened Yelp, saw a place I've never heard of yet has rave reviews, and took a chance. THANK YOU YELP!!!! Breakfast bliss.
The place is small, and was just about full up except for two single seats at the counter. A couple moved over to make room without us even asking, giving us primo seats directly in front of the cook. The menu had some Norwegian twists to your standard breakfast. We ordered the "Stovey," a breakfast wrap made with lefse instead of a tortilla and topped with hollandaise. As well, we had to order MeMaw's Biscuits n' Gravy.
Service was super friendly, and had a comfortable atmosphere. The whole counter shared in conversation with the staff, which made me feel like I was an everyday patron of my own neighborhood joint.
The food, oh my. Biscuits that were light and not overly dense, soppin' sausage gravy that was perfectly seasoned, and crispy yet not overcooked hashbrowns. The Stovey was delicious, with some of the best hollandaise we've ever had. It must have had a bit of citrus that just livened it up.
We finished our plates, this never happens, ever. We're the kind of people that like leftovers, yet it was soooo good we almost licked the plates clean. -

Came here for breakfast this morning because our stove was broken. We've driven by a ton of times but never knew this was here.
This is a very small place. There are 3 four tops and one long table for 8 as well as the bar seating. We were seated immediately at the far end of the long table opposite another couple. If you time it right (like us), you can sit right away, but otherwise you might have to wait at least 15-20 minutes for a spot.
The chef, Scott, cooks on the flat top right in front of the bar seating. I'm a big fan of that. I ordered a classic with 2 eggs, bacon, toast, and upgraded to loaded hash browns. My boyfriend got the blueberry pancakes special. It was all great. The pancakes were 2 huge ones for $6. My upgraded plate was still just $9. The hash browns were great with the cheese, onions, & peppers. Everything was hot. My boyfriend decided to get a cinnamon roll as well, which was very hot and delicious.
Overall, we thought it was great and can't wait to come back.
